Installation shots of The World in London at Victoria Park.
Last year I was commissioned by The Photographers' Gallery to take a portrait for The World in London
- a large-scale, public art project which set out to bring together 204
portraits of 204 Londoners, each originating from a different nation
that will be competing at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Click here to see my portrait of Tigana Wesa Sari from Indonesia, and to hear her story.
The portraits are exhibited as large-scale posters at the following two sites across London:
Victoria Park, London E3: 27 July - 12 August 2012
Enter by Crown Gate East, walk in a north easterly direction down
Central Drive towards the bandstand and monument- the exhibition is on
the hoardings around the Live Nation Site.
Park House, 453 - 497 Oxford Street, London, W1: 27 July - 30 August 2012
Park House, 453 - 497 Oxford Street, London, W1: 27 July - 30 August 2012
Opposite Selfridges
There is a dedicated project website, with further information at - www.theworldinlondon.org.uk
